The Cookout Bagel Burger

Ingredients

  • 1 Everything Bagelry Sesame Seed Bagel
  • 1 smash burger patty
  • Salt, pepper, other seasonings
  • Butter  
  • 1 slice cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • Grilled onions
  • Dill pickles
  • Shredded Lettuce

Instructions

1. Make the sauce

Mix together mayo, ketchup, and mustard.

2. Prep the onion

Thinly slice a yellow onion. Place about a tablespoon of butter in a pan and grill onions over medium heat. Roughly 10 minutes. 

3. Toast the bagel

Slice and toast your Everything Bagelry Sesame Seed Bagel to perfection. Butter both halves with butter.

4. Smash your burger

Season your hamburger meat. We like a little salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Cook your hamburger patty to your preference. We suggest a smash burger or thin patty for this sandwich so it's easier to eat. 

5. Cheese, please! 

Top your burger with cheese right away so it melts! 

6. Build the sandwich

Spread the burger sauce on the bagel. We did both halves. Layer on your cheesy patty and grilled onions. Add your favorite burger toppings! Pickles, lettuce, etc. Top with the second half of your bagel. 

7. Enjoy!
